Let me introduce myself to get the ball rolling. I'm Neil and I'm one of the admins around here. I'm the Sports Editor for the whole of the TalkOn.it network. I enjoy playing darts. I used to play all the time at university down at The Albion but haven't picked up the arrows for a while.

I am a university student doing a research project on dart throwing. We broke down the dart throw into 11 components that we want to teach children and we are looking to find a "dart expert" who could help us put them in order of importance. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1. elbow held at 90 degree
2. elbow pointing toward dart board
3. bring dart back past cheek, close to ear
4. execute follow through after release
5. throws with appropriate force
6. moves only forearm and wrist during throw
7. keeps body still throughout throw
8. hold dart with thumb and two or three fingers
9. releases dart before arm is fully extended
10. smooth movement throughout throw
11. same foot forward as throwing hand
